When we look at children, one thing is clear - they possess innocence, but also lack of experience, which brings us to the main point of this virtue. 

Safety is not something we are born with, it is something which is taught to us by people around us. Sometimes our environment fails us and we walk from childhood into adulthood without the right amount of safety.

In those circumstances what tends to happen is that we start allowing people to come close to us, people that, in fact, we should stay away from. 

The virtue of safety is the individual's capability of reading the environment correctly, where potential threats (physical, emotional, spiritual, etc.)  lie, recognize them and avoid them.

Many people just go through life having bad things happen to them just because they lack safety.

In this session we will tackle the shortcomings of our environment, what we haven't learnt during childhood and why are we still exposing ourselves to danger.
