The vice of sacrifice represents giving up something valued for the sake of other considerations. 
Although, someone may confuse this vice interpreting it as a virtue of selflessness, this is not the case.

Selflessness refers to being more concerned with the needs and wishes of others than with one’s own. This applies only in situations when the other person’s needs, from the Creator’s prospective, supersede your own. 

There are two types of the vice of sacrifice:

 1) SELF – SACFRIFICE
Giving up something valued for the sake of other considerations when in fact your needs supersede the other person’s needs.

In this case, a negative karmic pattern is created which impoverishes your life, attracts far more people with parasitic energy who simply want to take advantage of you.

2) PUSHING OTHERS TO SACRIFICE FOR YOU
This behavior puts you in a position of taking from someone who from the Creator’s prospective should be the one on the receiving end.
If you are prone to this type of behavior, it’s important to work on:
- Having a good heart and good intentions towards others
- Knowing and respecting other’s people boundaries
- Allowing others to receive
- Being compassionate
- Knowing who, what and why is the highest priority and any time.
