The virtue of imperviousness indicates a person's capability to withstand influence of other people or other outside influences.

There are many ways a person can exhibit imperviousness, for example:

1. BEING IMPERVIOUS TO PROJECTIONS
In life we have people around us who see things in a certain way, these people are so sure about their point of view and ideas, to the point that they would be ready to jump into fire to prove it.
These people might try to force that vision on us.

Just because somebody has an unshakable conviction, it does not make it right or truth.
The only way to see through that conviction is with the virtue of imperviousness.

2. BEING IMPERVIOUS TO FOREIGN INFLUENCES
There are hundreds of different circumstances in which people live. Some of those circumstances influence us and make us old. 
When we look around us, we can clearly see how certain people have aged, some gracefully, some badly. 
Today everybody is in the search for the elixir of youth. The simple answer to that quest is: who is more impervious to the foreign influences that damage our bodies like stress, chemical toxins, radiation etc. The more we are impervious, the longer our body can stay youthful. 


3. BEING IMPERVIOUS TO NEGATIVE KARMA
Every living being has a certain type of Karma that they have to go through. These Karmas can be pleasant and unpleasant.
The type of Karma we are going to face depends on what kind of decisions we are mostly making in the present or decisions we made in the past. (There are many more reasons for Karma to happen, like Karma of the species we belong to, collective consciousness, Karma of the land we live in, genetic karma etc.) 

Being impervious to negative Karma means that we have the power, knowledge, wisdom on how to become impervious to what type of experience Karma had in mind for us.
