It is closely linked to ingenuity, but there is a slight difference. While ingenuity gives as the possibility to find a completely new solution to a problem, persistence is crucial in a situation where there is not really a need for a brand-new solution because the solution that we have works, but not to the extent that we want it to work.

Persistence is when we have channeled a divinely inspired solution, but it needs to be used multiple times. This knowledge of how much we need to use it is actually pertinence in itself.
